“If I cannot fly, let me sing.”
― Stephen Sondheim
If you're a singer...
If you sing in a choir there are some things you should know...
-
No experience is necessary... whether you're happy as a wallflower or want to be a star on stage and screen, you are welcome and have something special to offer our choirs.
-
Mr. Charig will ask to hear everybody throughout the year in order to make sure you are appropriately placed in voice sections (Part I, II, III etc...)
-
Boys can sing too. It's totally allowed. In fact, singing makes you cool, it's scientifically proven.
-
All choristers must obtain a RJ Grey Choirs T-shirt for performances. It's part of your mandatory concert attire along with appropriate school pants, skirts, kilts, or dresses. PLEASE NO JEANS OR SWEATS FOR PERFORMANCES.
-
The arrival time for all choristers on performance events is at 6:15 in the chorus room unless otherwise noted.
-
CONCERT ATTIRE IS: dark pants or khakis, or black skirt or leggings, with the Chorus T shirt. This is very important! No jeans, sweats, or sneakers.
